Marché

Sell what you sell with, licensed. Marché is the marketplace you are browsing right now — a complete Drupal Commerce distribution for selling licensed Drupal site templates, itself packaged as a site template. Buy it, brand it, and open your own.

You are already using the demo

Every page you have clicked through — the catalog, the product pages, checkout, the pricing table, even this page — is Marché running in production. What you buy is exactly what you are standing in: the storefront, the license tiers, the automated fulfillment, the theme. Swap the logo and the products, and it is your marketplace.

A marketplace, not a starting point

Marché ships as a Drupal recipe that installs a finished, revenue-ready business — not a blank Commerce install you still have to wire up.

Storefront and catalog

A polished template catalog with product detail pages, comparison pages, and a checkout tuned for selling licenses rather than shipping boxes.

License tiers built in

License products with fixed terms, modeled the way you see them on this store's product pages. Rename them, reprice them, extend them.

Private Packagist fulfillment

Checkout creates the customer in Private Packagist and grants the package bundle automatically. Buyers run composer create-project minutes after paying.

Customer self-service

Accounts, order history, license visibility, and re-download access — buyers help themselves instead of emailing you.

Just Drupal underneath

Drupal Commerce, standard entities, standard theming. Everything the recipe installs is GPL and stays yours. Any Drupal developer can extend it on day two.

Turn your best builds into products

You have shipped the same kind of site a dozen times. Marché is how an agency stops reselling its hours and starts selling the outcome.

Productize what you already build

Package your proven builds — the association site, the small-shop store, the paid publication — as licensed site templates and sell them on repeat.

Add a revenue line, keep the services line

Templates sell while you sleep, and every buyer is a warm lead for customization, hosting, and support engagements — work you already do.

Grow the ecosystem you depend on

Every template sold puts another well-built site on Drupal. Centarro supports the Drupal Association, and your marketplace can carry the same commitment.

Fulfillment on autopilot

Your buyers install while you do nothing

When an order completes, Marché enqueues fulfillment on its own: the buyer's Private Packagist customer is created and their package bundle is granted. It is the exact pipeline that delivered your Marché license, running for your customers instead.

Standing on proven infrastructure

Drupal Commerce

The most flexible open-source commerce framework there is — orders, licenses, and checkout modeled natively in Drupal.

Private Packagist

Composer-native package delivery from the team behind Composer itself. Billed separately, directly by Private Packagist.

Stripe

Card payments from day one, with the receipts, disputes, and payout tooling your finance person expects.

How Marché compares

Four honest ways to sell your own site templates. Three of them charge you forever.

Marché against Sharetribe, Envato's ThemeForest, and building your own store on WooCommerce with a licensing stack.

What matters Marché Sharetribe ThemeForest (Envato) Build it yourself (WooCommerce + EDD)
Revenue share What the platform keeps from each sale 0%, every sale is yours 0–x% transaction fees by plan, on top of the subscription Envato keeps 30–55% of every sale 0%
What you pay, and how A license fee, with no share of your sales A monthly subscription, forever, that grows with your listing count Nothing upfront — a large cut of every sale, forever Plugin stack renewals plus weeks of developer time
Who owns the code GPL plugins, but the glue code is on you
Time to first sale Days — install the recipe, brand it, list your templates Days — fastest SaaS setup, within their template Weeks — submission review, and rejection is common Months — store, licensing, and fulfillment are all custom work
Infrastructure lock-in
If you stop paying Or the platform disappears The site survives, but unmaintained custom glue rots fast
Composer-native fulfillment How Drupal developers actually want to receive code Possible, but you integrate Packagist yourself
Fits how you already sell Drupal

Questions agencies actually ask

Yes. This marketplace is a Marché install with our branding and our products. The recipe you buy installs the same storefront, license products, fulfillment pipeline, and theme you have been clicking through.

Your marketplace keeps running exactly as it is, because everything installed is GPL and yours. What stops is access to new package versions until you license another term.

Your templates, your brand, and two accounts: Stripe for taking payment and Private Packagist for delivering packages to your buyers. Private Packagist bills you separately for your customer seats. Hosting is yours to choose — any Drupal-capable host works.

No. Marché takes no revenue share, no transaction fee and no per-listing charge. You pay for the license and keep 100% of what your marketplace earns.

Completely. Underneath is standard Drupal Commerce — products, orders, checkout flows, a Bootstrap-based theme. Different license models, different fulfillment, different design: it is all ordinary Drupal development, no proprietary layer in the way.

You can — and hand over 30–55% of every sale, your customer relationships, and your storefront to someone else's platform. Marché exists for agencies who want the marketplace itself to be theirs: their domain, their margins, their buyer list, their upsell pipeline.
